The Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral has issued a statement in which it states that it is surprised by the publication in the media of the verdict of the Basic Court in Podgorica in the dispute about the church of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius in Kruševac, before it was delivered to the Metropolitanate as the defendant - the counter-plaintiff.
"The Plenipotentiary of the Metropolis unsuccessfully tried to raise the verdict on the first of April, in accordance with the Court's hearing decision, but he received an answer that the verdict was not in the records and that it was not given for lifting. The same attempt was made unsuccessfully on the second and third of April and the same answer was received," he states. in the announcement of the Metropolis.
The announcement states that the President of the Court is aware of the case and that he has been asked to investigate how the aforementioned illegalities occurred and to inform the Metropolis about it.
"The Metropolis is concerned about these illegalities, because they raise doubts about the legality of the procedure in which the judgment in question was passed. We will comment on the verdict after getting acquainted with its content," the announcement states.
