The President of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts (CANU), Dragan Vukčević, presented 17 CANU membership charters to new part-time and full-time members, among which nine were presented to professors of the University of Montenegro (UCG).
As announced by UCG, the charters were handed over at a special session of the CANU Assembly, which was held on Thursday.
"In addition to the membership charters, three awards from the CANU Fund for encouraging the scientific and artistic youth of Montenegro for the past year were presented, two of which went to the representatives of the UCG", the announcement says.
The new regular members of CANU are Igor Đurović, professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, professors at the Faculty of Science Predrag Miranović, Vukić Pulević and Svjetlana Terzić, professor at the Music Academy Žarko Mirković, professor at the Faculty of Medicine Goran Nikolić, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Sciences Šerbo Rastoder and Zoran Rašović, professor at the Faculty of Law.
Siniša Jelušić, professor of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje, was elected as an extraordinary member of CANU.
"Two out of a total of three awards for encouraging the scientific and artistic youth of Montenegro were awarded to Maša Ždralević, biologist, head of the Center for Scientific Research at the Faculty of Medicine of UCG and Dušan Kasalica, director, master's student and teaching associate at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts of UCG ", the announcement states.
Charters were also presented to the new regular members of CANU: Academician Jevrem Brković, Academician Veselin Vukotić and Academician Niko Martinović.
Certificates of membership in CANU were handed over to the new CANU associate members, prof. Dr. Vas Antunović, Branko Baletić, Mileta Bojović and prof. Dr. Zoran Stojanović.
