Center for Civic Education (CGO), in cooperation with the "Vijesti" portal, and within the implementation of the project "EU news - get informed!" , supported by the communication budget of the Delegation of the European Union in Montenegro, organized during the previous two weekends the training of "Vijesti" journalists in the field of developing techniques for reporting on the EU and the negotiation process between Montenegro and the EU.
"Within the first module, which was held on March 5 and 6, in addition to Daliborka Uljarević, the executive director of the Center for Civic Education (CGO), who opened the training, he discussed with the participants the role and importance of the media in the process of European integration Patrick Šmelcer, from the Department for Public Administration Reform and Media of the EU Delegation in Montenegro, spoke about what the negotiation process between Montenegro and the EU entails, the role of the negotiation structure in the negotiation process, as well as the strategy for informing the public about Montenegro's accession to the European Union in 2014-2018 is Miodrag Radović, secretary of the Negotiating Group at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro (MVPEI). The negotiation process between Montenegro and the European Union, with an emphasis on chapters 23 and 24, was the topic addressed by Svetlana Rajković, assistant to the Minister of Justice and negotiator. with the EU for Chapters 23 and 24. The role of the Assembly in the process of European integration through competences and the possibility of influencing the dynamics and quality of the negotiation process was brought closer to the participants by Slaven Radunović, the president of the Committee for European Integration of the Parliament of Montenegro", announced the CGE.

The second module was held on March 14 and 15, during which Slobodan Georgijev, coordinator of the Balkan Research Network (BIRN) from Belgrade, and Dragoljub Duško Vuković, an independent journalist, spoke about the concept and principles of investigative journalism, the investigative process, the way to collect documents and information, as well as database search techniques and writing research texts.
"Additionally, the participants had the opportunity to talk with the lecturers about what interests the Montenegrin audience in relation to the EU and the negotiation process between Montenegro and the EU, what is the news/story in all of this and how to report on this process in a way that is most receptive to the citizens /kama," the statement said.

Project "EU news - get informed!" , within which training for journalists is conducted, aims to contribute to increasing the level of information, understanding and development of public dialogue about the EU, through increasing the quality of available information about the European Union and the negotiation process, on web portals in Montenegro.

The activities of the project are part of the Action Plan for the implementation of the strategy of informing the public about the accession of Montenegro to the European Union 2014-2018, for 2015.
