Director of the Housing Agency, Vladimir Tomović, told "Vijesta" yesterday that he cannot predict when they will finish repairing the facades in Ulica Slobode, but that they are working "as long as the weather allows them."
"In the last few days, it was not possible to do much because of the rain and the strong north wind, today we just started to work a little, but already tomorrow they are announcing that it will rain again", said Tomović. He said that the workers are finishing the facade of the building at Ulica Slobode No. 64 and that in the coming days they will start with the renovation of the front part.
He announced that he will also start with the rehabilitation of the building whose facade is the most damaged, and is located above the "Carine" restaurant.
At the expense of the Agency, as he said, "Carine" donated 5.000 euros for the project "For a more beautiful face of Podgorica".
"The companies "Knauf" and "Cerovo" will provide material for one building each," said Tomović.
At the beginning of February, Agency workers started erecting scaffolding on the building at Ulica Slobode No. 64, and Tomović said then that they would work on one or two buildings at a time. In addition to the Agency, the holders of the action are the Secretariat for Communal Affairs and Traffic, the Secretariat for Planning and Spatial Planning, and the works will cost around 190.000 euros.
