As part of the Day of Protection and Rescue, which is celebrated in Montenegro for the second time, specialized services presented themselves today.
In front of the Rectorate building, the equipment used in rescue was on display, and experts showed citizens how it works.
"We want to show the citizens what we have at our disposal," said the director general of the Directorate for Emergency Situations, Mirsad Mulić.
He added that the goal is educational activity as well as the desire to perhaps awaken in some citizen the motive to join the rescue services.
He pointed out that Montenegro is more ready to act in emergency situations, unlike in previous years.
"Now we have bigger and better equipment than before, but you never know how nature will be kind," said Mulić.
He noted that Montenegro has excellent cooperation with all rescue services for emergency situations from countries in the region.
A large number of children, in addition to interesting devices, were also interested in providing first aid.
Red Cross coordinator Jelena Šofranac told "Vijesta" that citizens were very interested in donating blood and in learning how to provide first aid.
11 awards and several recognitions for special merits in the development of the protection and rescue system were presented, and a film about Slavko Ilić, the deceased chief of the MUP Aviation Helicopter Unit, was shown at KIC Budo Tomović.
