Non-governmental organization Bike.me organized a group bike ride dedicated to the announced construction of bike paths in Podgorica.
About 30 cyclists, despite the rain, rode on their two-wheelers from Trg Republike, streets Sloboda and Kralj Nikola, and then turned onto Bulevar Montenegrin Serdars and reached "Pobjeda" via the Union Bridge.

Ofrom there they turned into Moskovska, then into 13. Juli Street, and continued across the Milenijum bridge and Ivan Cmojevića Boulevard to Ulica slobode and back to Trg Republike.
Ride participant Gezim Čobović told "Vijesta" that this is the first "Critical mass" of the year, pointing out that even bad weather will not prevent them from organizing the ride every last Saturday of the month in the future.

"This time, we didn't think much about what we would dedicate the ride to, because we recently received information from the capital that there are plans to build bicycle paths on five corridors in the city. We have insisted on this for a long time... Building paths is one of the most important things for cycling," said Čobović.
Commenting on the announcements from the Capital City that one of the five bicycle path corridors will most likely be built by the end of the year, Čobović said that this is great news, but that it is important to continue the implementation of other corridors after that.

Ivan Popović from Podgorica, who has been riding since he was five years old, said that the construction of bicycle paths will affect the increase in the number of cyclists.
"Now we don't have many conditions for driving... Even though there are no bicycle paths yet, I have not had any unpleasant situations in traffic, but I am afraid, of course, like every citizen", said Popović.

The first "Critical mass" ride in Podgorica was held on June 29, 2012, and the first in the world in 1992 in San Francisco.
