According to the report of the Agency for Construction and Development, they "harvested" most of the income from the tenants to whom they rent premises in Ulica slobode.
Thus, the company "Fachion company" paid 222 euros per month for the lease of a space of 9.087 square meters, and "Barcode" paid 106 euros for an area of 4.067 square meters.
For the sake of comparison, the "Mediterranean" University, which is located in the premises of the City Stadium, paid a monthly rent of 289 euros for an area of 2.604 square meters.
Out of a total of 225 buildings "rented out" by the capital, 25 entities are exempt from payment, while nearly 50 tenants pay a reduced amount based on whether they are artists, NGOs, state bodies, legal entities dealing with the protection of the rights and interests of disabled persons, sports societies..
The Agency for Construction and Development claims that they have collected 90 percent of the amount that was invoiced on the basis of concluded lease agreements and that they believe that they have achieved a satisfactory result of revenue collection. However, they pointed out in the report that due to the difficult economic situation in the last year, it was much more difficult to collect rents, but also to let out vacant business premises.
