In the coming period, Montefarm's pharmacies will purchase medicines daily, depending on the need, it was announced today at a meeting of representatives of that public institution and the Ministry of Health.
As reported by that department, the secretary of the Ministry of Health, Zoran Kostić, and the director general of the Directorate for Health Protection, Mensud Grbović, spoke with the representative of Montefarm, Radoman Dragaš, about supplying pharmacies with medicines and finding modalities for a better and more efficient supply of medicines.
The Ministry of Health stated that the possibility of changing the way of supplying pharmacies in Podgorica and other Montenegrin municipalities was discussed at the meeting, in order to influence the better availability of medicines to citizens.
"At the meeting, which was held in the Ministry of Health, the expressed needs for medicines and consumable medical materials of public health institutions for this year were also discussed, as well as the possibility of data on Montefarm's stock of medicines being available to selected doctors who prescribe medicines in health centers. in order to know which medicines are available in the pharmacies at that moment," the ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry reminded that until now Montefarm's pharmacies were supplied with medicines twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, and announced that in the future medicines will be procured daily, depending on the needs of each pharmacy.
"Also, in each Montefarm pharmacy, citizens will be able to get information on which pharmacy in the capital city has a certain drug, so that they can get the necessary therapy more simply and quickly," said the Ministry.
From that department, they said that they will insist that Montefarm supplies pharmacies in other Montenegrin cities in this way, so that, as they stated, the basic method of supply would be according to the needs of citizens, that is, expressed requests from pharmacies in all municipalities of Montenegro.
