These days, the Clinical Center of Montenegro lacks ampoules of doxorubicin, which is why cancer patients who need this drug cannot receive chemotherapy.
Several patients complained to the editorial office of TV Vijesta that for days they could not get the necessary therapy or information about when they would be able to.
KCCG announced that, according to information from Montefarma, the procurement of the drug doxorubicin is delayed compared to the agreed date and that it is expected in the next few days.
When asked how harmful the delay of chemotherapy is to the patients to whom it is prescribed, the KCCG assures that it does not affect the outcome of the treatment when the delay lasts a week or two.
They also emphasize that the delay may also occur due to the patient's general condition.
