The Student Council of the Bijelo Polje Management Study supports the conclusions adopted at the session of the Council of the Faculty of Economics, which was held on Monday, November 24, and demands that the University of Montenegro respond positively to them.
"We ask the University to invite representatives of the collective of the Faculty of Economics, who oppose the behavior of the University towards our faculty, to negotiations, and not its representative and representative of your interests at the Faculty of Economics in the form of the acting dean. We ask the Board of Directors of the University of Montenegro to immediately remove Maja Baćović from the position of Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics, because of her written ban on students to hold a public class in a peaceful manner, which is what they have the right to do according to the statute of the University of Montenegro. in the hall of the faculty," the students' press release states.
They wonder if the faculty exists because of the student or because of the acting dean, so whoever it is, when this happens just ten days after she leads the faculty, we wonder what rights the students would have if she happened to be the dean of the Faculty of Economics.
"That's why, dear fellow students, we must persevere in the fight for the realization of our rights so that we never again end up in a situation where someone restricts our rights with a decree in one sentence. If the administration of the University of Montenegro continues to ignore the demands of the students of the Faculty of Economics, we students of the Studio in Bijelo Polje will come en masse to Podgorica to personally ensure the fulfillment of the demands in a peaceful and dignified way," the students' statement concludes.
