Maja Baćović, acting dean of the Faculty of Economics, said that students have always had and will have the support of the faculty for the implementation of all activities defined by the founding acts of the organizations they represent.

"For the purpose of good and professional cooperation, all activities of the Student Council and student organizations are carried out in cooperation with the Faculty administration, which unreservedly supports all their good ideas. In their work, the student trustee, the Student Council and student organizations, just like other employees, they should adhere to the basic principles of the house rules. We support any public expression of students' views, but in an institutionalized way, with prior announcement, and not in the form of arbitrarily organizing public meetings, on topics that are not in any way directly related to anything that belongs to the domain of the work of the Faculty of Economics," Baćović pointed out.

Students of the Faculty of Economics: Where did the million euros from school fees end up?

The students of the Faculty of Economics asked the state authorities to investigate the whereabouts of a million euros from the school fees they paid to that institution, which, as they claim, the University of Montenegro illegally appropriated.

EF students interrupted classes for an hour today to present their demands, even though Acting Dean Maja Baćović forbade them to do so. They referred to Article 18 of the UCG Statute, which allows peaceful gatherings of students, which do not threaten public order and peace.

"We demand a 25 percent reduction in tuition fees for all self-financing students. We demand an immediate end to the uprising at EF, because it is ruining the reputation of the oldest higher education institution in Montenegro. We seek continuous improvement of study conditions in terms of modern literature, technical equipment, improvement of mobility in order to further strengthen the faculty's competitiveness", said student representative Dražen Gazivoda.

According to him, the students fully support the views and conclusions of the Council of the Faculty of Economics.

Gazivoda points out that EF is the institution where you get the best education in the field of economics, but also the diploma that is most valued: "Which especially bothers our competition - private faculties. More than 7.000 graduates in economics, more than 500 masters, more than 50 doctors of economic sciences who had the honor of staying at this faculty in the past half century testify to this".

The students, says Gazivoda, are determined to defend the dignity and dignity of EF together with their professors, but also to fight for study conditions that will raise the quality of the entire higher education system.

"We, the proud students of this faculty, know that this cannot be achieved by restraining the best - the Faculty of Economics, by obstructing the selection of academic staff, by unnecessary training in rigor, not to mention by living over colleagues, by trying to discipline both, by humiliating the dean at to all faculties, by the arrogant behavior of the University's management, for which we are not sure whether they are working in favor of our state, or other private faculties", says Gazivod.
