Montenegrin basketball player Nikola Peković publicly instructed support for the Faculty of Economics, and expressed respect for the team and students for, as stated in the letter from the Minnesota ace, the efforts they invest in defending academic freedom and dignity.
"I am addressing you as an athlete who has dedicated his whole life to fair play, as someone who comes from a traditional family that has always respected true moral values, and as a former student of this institution.
I want to remind the public of Montenegro that in the 2009/2010 study year, I enrolled in the Management study program at EF in Podgorica, but due to my professional obligations at the then Panathinaikos club and going to the strongest professional basketball league in the world (NBA), I was I am forced to postpone my student obligations. I sincerely hope that one day I too will proudly earn a diploma from the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica," the letter states.
