Dom zdravlja Podgorica strives to provide high-quality and affordable health care for all residents of the Capital City, both in urban and rural areas, said the director of that health facility, Nebojša Kavarić.
He announced at the forum for the residents of Kuče, which was held in the Youth Center in Ubli, that the rural clinic in Kuče will be reconstructed in due course.
The topic of the forum, as announced by the Health Center, was the prevention of breast and cervical cancer, the most common malignant diseases in women in Montenegro.
Kavarić said that the management of the Health Center, in cooperation with the competent institutions, is looking at the possibilities of increasing the number of medical teams for rural areas, which would enable the doctor in Kuči to prescribe three times a week.
Vesna Oborina from the Association of Pensioners Podgorica spoke to the residents of Kuč about the importance of timely prevention of the onset and progression of these diseases, which most often affect the elderly population.
She pointed out that it is very important to have regular check-ups and practice healthy lifestyles.
The forum was attended by a large number of locals, who were then measured by the medical teams of the Podgorica Health Center for blood sugar and blood pressure.
