Belko returned home after two years

After two years of wandering, five-year-old Samoyed Belko is back in Ljiljana Caričić's home.

The unexpected meeting of the dog, which was named after the color of its fur, with its owner was very touching, and Boris Vlahović will remember it as long as he lives.

About twenty days ago, Belka was found by a girl at the Old Airport. His hair was neglected, his leg was injured, and a large and infected wound on his head testified to, as it turned out, two years of wandering the streets.

The girl immediately informed Ratka Tanjević from the "Ruka-šapi" association, and then a kind of movie story with a happy ending followed.

Volunteers from the association that adopts abandoned dogs treated Belk, provided him with accommodation and food, and the reward for the effort still arrived.

Caričić, who claims that they were looking for Belko all over the city a year after his disappearance, told "Vijesta" yesterday that her "heart almost broke" when she saw his photo on Facebook a few days ago.

"I immediately recognized him by his muzzle, because, unlike other Samoyeds, he has a flat nose, which is a bit red. I couldn't sleep all night as much as I wanted to see him," said Caričić, while stroking the happy Belko's head. .

She had previously opened a Facebook group for adoption "Bela helps to adopt puppies", on which a picture of her pet accidentally ended up.

Extremely happy that Belko returned home, Tanjević pointed out that the Facebook groups "Ruka-šapi" and "Arka Montenegro", as well as others, and how they can help in adopting and finding lost pets.

Broke the chain as soon as they brought him from Crmnica to Podgorica

Caričić clarified that Belko was actually her late mother's pet. She said that after her death, they decided to bring him from Crmnica to Momišiće, from where he disappeared.

"It is interesting that a year after his mother died, Belko was alone on the property, released, but he never left the house. Given that it was cold in Crmnica, we decided to bring him to Podgorica, where we had to we are tying. The same day he broke the chain and never came back," she said.
