Podgorica Basic Court judge Natalija Boričić decided that the Rakčević family should pay the capital city 1.630 euros, instead of two million euros, as requested by the previous city administration, led by Miomir Mugoš, for the disputed land in Block 5.
This is a decision in the repeated proceedings following the lawsuit of the Capital City, which demanded from Rakčević almost two million euros for about 9.000 square meters of land that was confiscated from the Rakčevićs, and then returned.
Explaining the verdict, Boričić stated that at the time of confiscation, they were paid a fair compensation for the disputed land, which they did not object to.
"The capital city has the right to a refund of compensation that is equivalent to the compensation that was previously paid for the expropriated real estate," it says in the explanation of the verdict.
