The Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism invited those interested to apply for support for projects in the field of tourism for this and the next year. The ministry allocated the largest amount for support in organizing music festivals and the development of innovative tourist products.
The invitation states that the total amount to support the organization of MICE events (congress tourism) is up to 20.000 euros. Funds can be used to organize regularly held events organized by national professional associations that are members of an international association, with a minimum of 10 percent foreign participants. The condition for support is that the event is supported by the relevant ministry or municipality.
Support is provided for music festivals whose total estimated value exceeds 100.000 euros. The applicant can apply with only one project, and the funds can be used exclusively for organizing events that have an entertainment, fashion or sports character. The largest amount of funds that can be approved is up to 25 percent of justified-acceptable costs, while the maximum amount of support is 25.000 euros. For projects up to 100.000, the maximum amount that can be approved is up to 20 percent of justified costs, while the maximum amount of support is 8.000 euros. For events with a value of up to 20.000 euros, the maximum amount of funds that can be approved is up to 20 percent, while the maximum amount of support is 3.000 euros.
To improve the offer and raise the quality of services in rural households, the goal of which is to create preconditions for the development of tourism, the total planned funds amount to 30.000 euros. The money can be used for the improvement of sanitary and hygienic conditions in the household, the purchase of furniture and equipment and the creation of additional offers. Up to 80 percent of justified costs can be approved, while the maximum amount of support is 4.000 euros. To improve the quality of the offer through quality certification and eco certification, the total amount of support is 10.000, and the maximum amount of support is up to 1.000 euros per user.
For the development of innovative tourist products, that is, co-financing of projects that enrich and improve the tourist offer by introducing new products and content, the total amount of available funds is 80.000 euros, the maximum amount that can be approved is up to 80 percent of justified costs, while the maximum amount of support is 8.000 euros
