This year's seventh Regional Euro-Atlantic camp REACT will gather students from 25 countries, and more than 300 university students were interested in participating.
REACT will be held from July 14 to 19 in the Štavna eco-village in Andrijevica
"Already for the seventh year in a row by organizing REACT, ALFA Center strives to contribute to the education and training of students in the field of security, Euro-Atlantic integration, regional cooperation and stability, military, defense and diplomacy," says the announcement of the organization.
The director of ALFA Center, Aleksandar Dedović, said that 313 students and 69 lecturers were interested in participating in this year's REACT, of which the expert council chose 106.
"According to everyone's opinion, REACT has become the most important event on these topics in the region over the past years. "Given that the very idea, conception and way of implementing the camp is completely original and that it is realized every year far from the capital city and the coast, it has become the best promoter of the strength and beauty of the Montenegrin north," he announced.
As stated in the announcement, in July Deputy Prime Minister Igor Lukšić, Head of the Directorate for International Affairs of the Polish Security Bureau Dominik Jankovski, National Coordinator for NATO Nebojša Kaluđerović and President of the NATO-Ukraine Civilian League will transfer their knowledge and experience to students from 25 countries. Sergiy George.
Among the lecturers will be representative in the Croatian Parliament Davor Božinović, colonels Esben As, Branislav Keković and Mehmedin Tahirović, diplomats Olaf Poečke, Milena Radenković and Sanšajn Ison, professors Kirakidis Kleantis, FlaviusKCaba-Maria, Ina Kirilova, Nikitas Nikitakos, Oliver Andonov, Ljubica Pendaroska, Astrit Istrefi, Katarina Veljanovska.
"Besides the exceptional and unrepeatable opportunity to discuss these topics in a relaxed atmosphere, what I single out are sports and cultural activities that in a special way strengthen ties and trust among participants who also come from countries in conflict or post-conflict periods. For the past seven years, REACT and Montenegro have been a place of dialogue and appreciation, knowledge, youth and positive energy," says Dedović.
As announced, this year's REACT is also an opportunity to hear different opinions and positions regarding Montenegrin relations with the Alliance.
"The students will have a discussion about this, and mostly about the neutrality of Montenegro, with Filip Kovačević, journalist Marko Milačić and the editor of the IN4S portal, Gojko Raičević. The representatives of the Montenegrin civil sector, Admir Osmanović, Selena Tasić, Savo Kentera and Stefan Pižurica, will also participate in the camp," says Dedović.
The announcement states that, given that the topic of Montenegro's accession to NATO is increasingly attracting the attention of the domestic public, it will be a unique opportunity to develop a reasoned dialogue on that topic.
"What we all agree on is the necessary peace and security, and we will discuss and debate the modalities of achieving it and how to provide it. This year's REACT will be another contribution to the serious consideration of the possibility of sending an invitation for membership in September," concluded Dedović.
