Janko Zeković, a student of the "Slobodan Škerović" Gymnasium in Podgorica, won a bronze medal at the 22nd International Philosophical Olympiad (IPO), which was held this year from May 15 to 18 in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
"This is the second recognition that our students have received at this prestigious competition, which takes place under the auspices of UNESCO and the International Association of Philosophical Societies (FISP). At the first participation in 2012, Đuro Ilić from Budva received praise," she told " News" Jasminka Milošević, professor of philosophy at the Podgorica Gymnasium.
In addition to Janko, the Montenegrin team included Sanja Raković, also a student of the Gymnasium "Slobodan Škerović" and philosophy professor Milošević. The participation of our competitors was organized by the Association of Philosophy Professors with the help of sponsors (Domen.me, Okov, Career Team, Art Beton and Kalija). A smaller part of the costs was borne by the Gymnasium "Slobodan Škerović".
Zeković's medal is the second for Montenegro when it comes to Olympiads of knowledge. Such a distinction was won last year by Petar Tadić from Nikšić, who won third place in physics at the Olympiad of Knowledge.
