MCP: Amfilohije did not curse Đukanović, but reminded him of the words of Saint Peter

At the promotion of Leonid Rešetnjikov's book "Return to Russia" in the Belgrade hotel "Moskva", Metropolitan Amfilohije of Montenegro and the Littoral did not curse the Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, as some media in Serbia and Montenegro suggest in the headlines, but he recalled the words from the testament of St. Petar Cetinjsko, which refer to the loyalty of "Montenegro and Berđana" to Russia and said that it would be good if the current Montenegrin prime minister read them carefully, the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral (MCP) announced.

The Metropolis recalled the words from the testament of Saint Peter of Cetinje.

"If there is someone among our people who does not accept these last words and recommendations of mine as true, or if he does not listen to everything as the whole book says, but dares to cause any disturbance and discord among the people by letter or deed, , whoever he may be, worldly or spiritual, I at the hour of my death hand over to eternal damnation and anathema, both him and his family and birth, so that his trace and home will be dug up and wiped out! In the same way, may God grant to those who would seek to dissuade you from your loyalty to pious and Christ-loving Russia, and to everyone, if any of you Montenegrins and Berdians find themselves thinking of withdrawing from patronage and hope for a homogeneous and single-faith Russia, may God grant a stronger and from him the living flesh fell away and every good temporal and eternal departed! To all, in turn, to the better, more faithful, and whoever listens to this last letter of mine and makes it so that it will be my most fervent paternal and archbishopric blessing from generation to generation and forever and ever!
