Bar: Enlighteners threaten to move in by force

The families of Bar educators, who hoped to end their tenant status and move into their apartments in the A6 building in the Macedonian settlement, as previously promised - before the end of the school year, are once again faced with a new, eighth violation of the move-in deadline.

Yesterday, the President of the Municipality Žarko Pavićević sent a letter to the President of the Bar Education Union, Mić Baltić, informing him that "after a detailed analysis of the scope of the remaining works and the dynamic plans of the subcontractors", it was determined that July XNUMX is the deadline for completion and moving in.

The building, which started to be built by AD ZIB, and after its bankruptcy, was brought to the end by another company, was supposed to be occupied on May 15, 2009, when, the Syndicate points out, all credit agreements with the First Bank were signed.

Due to the new delay in moving in, Baltić and a delegation of educators who have acquired the right to purchase an apartment in A6 were in the Municipality for a meeting with President Pavićević the day before yesterday.

The trade union reminds that "the last time the mayor promised Minister Stijepović and the future tenants of building A/6 that the deadline for the completion of the building would be the end of April 2014.

"Educators are humiliated and revolted by the attitude towards 100 families of educators and health workers who have been tenants for years and pay high rents. Some colleagues threatened more radical measures. Some colleagues came to the conclusion that on May 20 they will forcibly move into the building because they have nowhere to stay with their families."

They are afraid that Prva banka will activate the bans

Pavićević promised that the building will be habitable in the next 60 to 65 days, but all the doors in the two entrances are missing and "there is no major work, except for the doors".

"The present educators believe that it is another pre-election promise and that it will not be fulfilled. The workers are afraid that Prva banka will activate administrative bans after the deadline has expired, and that in this way the workers will be even more threatened," said the president of the Trade Union Mićo Baltić.
