In two months, the trial of a group of peaceful demonstrators, arrested at the protest on February 15, will begin in the Basic Court in Podgorica. Their trial was scheduled for April 28 yesterday.
On that day, retired journalist Dragoslav-Duća Milačić (73), his son, journalist Marko Milačić, Forum 2010 spokesman Boban Batrićević, representatives of the Civic Front from Cetinje, Ninoslav Kaluđerović, Irena Delja, Danilo Mrvaljević, Miro and Milka Radević, will appear before the judge. They were arrested on Saturday at around 14 pm, after tensions calmed down, at the protest. At the time of their arrest, they were sitting calmly at the crosswalk in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building. The street they "blocked" was certainly closed to traffic. Although the criminal offense they were charged with, "failure to comply with a removal order", is punishable by a fine or a prison sentence of up to three months, the prosecutor kept them in custody for two days, with the explanation that they could repeat the same criminal offense, since the gatherings were allegedly was also announced for Sunday.
A group of hooligans with phantom girls, who on Saturday raised tensions at a relatively peaceful protest and threw stones at the police, is still beyond the reach of the law.
