Incidents at the protest held on February 15 in Podgorica occurred when a group of young men with fantonkas at the ready separated and started throwing stones at the police.
The "Udar" movement, which organized several civil protests through social networks, issued a statement in which they suspect that there were "inserted" protesters.
"Today's gathering did not have an organizer, but people were invited to the protest from fake Facebook profiles. All this leads to the suspicion that there were entities in the crowd installed by the regime, in order to cause riots that will not result in changes, but only to intimidate people, make them senseless and extinguish every form of rebellion", announced from the "Udar" movement.
Reporters on the spot said that the group of violent demonstrators acted like those who attacked Pride in Podgorica last year.
Yesterday around 13:XNUMX p.m. in front of the Parliament of Montenegro, the crowd first briefly blocked traffic on St. Peter Cetinjski Boulevard.
After ten minutes, the demonstrators moved to the Government building, which they could not approach from the police. When the demonstrators tried to break through the blockade at the beginning of Karađorđeva Street, the police hit some of them with batons over the fence.
A dozen guys then stood out from the crowd and started throwing stones at the police from the direction of Njegoševo Park. The policeman who was filming was hit in the head with a rock.
Immediately before the attack, several police jeeps with members of the intervention unit arrived at Bulevar Stanko Dragojevića.
The police fired tear gas and pushed the protesters in the direction of the park, from where they continued to throw stones, breaking several windows at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Atlas Group building and the Alan Ford cafe in Stanka Dragojević Street.
Tear gas dispersed part of the demonstrators, while a smaller number of them fled from the police through Njegošev park and over the suspension bridge. About a hundred meters from the place where the citizens and the police clashed, in Bokeška and Njegoševa streets, the cafe gardens were full of people enjoying the sun.
Several dozen citizens remained near the Government building for another hour.
Batrićević fell ill in the Security Center, transferred to KC
The spokesperson of Forum 2010, Boban Batrićević, who was injured during the arrests at the protests in Podgorica, fell ill in the Podgorica Security Center, where the medical team helped him.
Peaceful demonstrators were detained
After that, the team of the Emergency Service sent him to the Emergency Block of the Clinical Center, where he was diagnosed with injuries in the area of the left cheekbone, as well as elevated blood pressure.
Batrićević's injuries were determined
Batrićević was injured during the arrest. While several policemen were dragging him towards the "marika", an officer of the Police Administration hit him.
Among those arrested are Marko Milačić, Dragoslav Duća Milačić, Ninoslav Kaluđerović, students Danilo Mrvaljević, Vladimir and Irena Delja, Aljoša Turović.
At the protest, around 14.00:XNUMX p.m., the police officers told them that they had "one minute" to leave the street "for personal safety" and that if they did not do so, they would "act according to the law".
The police officers, in addition to the citizens who were sitting at the pedestrian crossing, also asked all the journalists and photojournalists to take cover, under the threat of being arrested.
After the protesters refused to move away, the policemen began to drag them off the street, which they resisted.
Despite the fact that the protest was non-violent at that moment, the police used force and threw them into the "marica" with blows.
Some of the arrested shouted "arrest the thieves" and "why don't you arrest Milo (Đukanović)"...
Among the arrested protesters were girls and elderly people.
After the protest, the Police Administration announced that 20 people were arrested who caused riots at an undeclared protest, during which they attacked and injured nine policemen.
A few hours after the arrest, the legal representative of several arrested citizens, lawyer Aleksandar Đurišić, was not allowed to contact the defendants.
He said that his clients were arrested for non-violent action - a protest that does not contain any elements of any criminal act.
Lawyer Đurišić said that before the arrest, the authorities had to explain what the criminal offense of "disobeying the order of the police" is, and only after that issue the order.
The criminal offense of "failing to comply with the removal order" is prescribed in Article 379 of the Criminal Code. In that article, it is written that whoever does not move away from a group of people that an authorized official or authorized military person called to disperse on occasions when public order is threatened, will be punished with a fine or imprisonment for up to three months.
