The toilets of the Regional Department of the Elementary School "Oktoih" in Dajbabe were demolished a few days ago.

At the door of the toilet, which is located behind the school and is not visible to passers-by, unknown perpetrators broke the glass, entered the room and completely destroyed all sanitary facilities in the toilets.

The former principal of the Elementary School "Oktoih" Vukić Konjević told "Vijesta" that the incident was reported to the police, and that an investigation was carried out. It is estimated that the material damage caused by the vandals was several hundred euros.

However, this case, as well as the reconstruction of the premises, will be dealt with by the new school administration, given that Konjević is retired.

In the district unit of Elementary School "Oktoih" in Dajbaba, classes are organized for students up to the fourth grade, and last school year about thirty students attended it in two combined classes.

The school in Dajbabe was reconstructed in 2010, when about eight thousand euros were invested in the renovation of the premises from the budget of the Ministry of Education and Science, a loan from the World Bank for the implementation of energy efficiency measures and with the support of donors.

The district department in Dajbabe belonged to the "Vuk Karadžić" elementary school, which is located in Zabjelo, until the establishment of the "Oktoih" elementary school in 1991.
