The building of the Municipality of Nikšić has had a ramp for years, but, in reality, it seems as if it is not there. Wheelchair users and persons with reduced mobility can enter the municipal building only if they have gone to the assembly hall.
There are six insurmountable steps separating them from the civil office, where you need to get some documents. It's absurd that it can't be bigger, which has been pointed out by wheelchair users for years.
"I declared a long time ago that I will stop dealing with the human rights of persons with disabilities the moment our house, that is, the Municipality of Nikšić, is fully adapted. It's one of my life's goals that I've been fighting for for about fifteen years," concluded Milenko Vojičić ironically.
At the end of 2013, and at the end of the deadline set by the Law from 2008, the Nikšić local government recently adopted a decision on the construction of access ramps, elevators and similar facilities.

The five-year deadline provided by that law will therefore only start to be implemented next year, but judging by the reaction of those who have been fighting for access ramps for a long time, it is also a big step forward.
