Due to the rutted road under the small underpass on Stara Zlatica, in Podgorica, about a hundred meters from the main road towards Bioč, the locals rarely drive their cars on that road, but instead travel much longer to the city - via Zagorič.
Milan Šarović claims that the road has been in bad condition for several years and that it is deteriorating more and more every day.
"Vijesti" reporters were also convinced yesterday that the road was washed out by the rain and that there was a warning sign in front of the underpass.
"I only go under the underpass on foot, unless there is some necessity to get there sooner. By car, I usually go across the village, get out in front of the other underpass, then via Zagorič", said Šarović.
Locals claim that during rainy days, water washes away half of the road and erodes the asphalt, so it is especially risky for cars to pass.
"You can break a wheel, or split a tire. The pile of sand in front of the overpass almost collapsed, so for several days it was impossible to pass at all, but we used that pile and filled the road under the underpass, so now it is in a little better condition", said Šarović.
