The procurement of influenza vaccines has been completed and it is planned that they will be delivered on October 7, and the distribution to health centers will be completed by October 18.
The Director of the Montefarm Pharmacy, Dr. Budimir Stanišić, told "Vijesti" that the procurement tender has been completed and that the contract with the manufacturer Glaxo Smith Klein has been signed.
"21.000 doses were ordered, according to the planned quantities of health institutions, at an individual price of 2,82, and a total of 52.220 euros," Stanišić said.
The Institute for Public Health said that they expect the vaccine to arrive in October, and vaccination to begin at the usual time.
"The number of people who have received the vaccine has not changed in the last three years, and since 2010, around 17.000 people, who are at special risk of this infection, are vaccinated against the flu annually in Montenegro," explained the Institute, which is headed by Dr. Boban Mugosha.
