Candidates for FPN dean Nataša Ružić and Olivera Komar

The new dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences could be Assoc. Dr. Nataša Ružić or Assoc. Dr. Olivera Komar, who were nominated by members of the Council of that faculty.

The Electoral Commission for the selection of deans at FPN announced yesterday that both proposals were received from authorized proposers, that they were submitted in a timely manner and that they are complete.

"The Election Commission has determined the proposal of the list of candidates, about which the authorized proposers who have the right to object to the Faculty Council have been notified within three days of receiving the notification," the announcement states.

Nataša Ružić was proposed by prof. Dr. Saša Knežević and Assoc. Dr. Boris Vukićević, while Olivera Komar was proposed by Assoc. Dr. Miloš Bešić and MSc Uglješa Janković.

The re-election of the previous dean of that faculty, Sonja Tomović - Šundić, was contested earlier because she was supported and proposed by Milan Marković and Miloš Bešić, and only Bešić is a member of the Council, while Marković's work rights are suspended because he is supported as the president of the Constitutional Court.

After the reaction of some members of the Council, the dean briefly withdrew her candidacy, but soon changed her mind when she was chosen for the position. However, the Management Board of UCG unanimously annulled the elections for the dean of the FPN in July and decided to call for re-elections.
