Patients who contacted the editorial office of "Vijesti" with complaints that there is no drug for blood pressure regulation "fosinopril plus" in pharmacies, will be able to pick up that medication in state pharmacies only at the beginning of next month.
Until then, they will have to go to private companies and pay for what should be free.
This was said by the director of the Montefarm Pharmacy, Dr. Budimir Stanišić, who added that the end of the tender procedure, within which the procurement of that medicine is planned, is then expected.
"There are three forms of fosinopril on the positive list, two could be found in pharmacies all the time, while fosinopril plus has not been available for some time. In the meantime, patients have the option of drinking one of these two drugs while using a diuretic, because essentially that drug has a diuretic in its composition," Stanišić explained.
He emphasized that in the previous tender, the procurement of that drug was planned, but that the offer was cancelled, because the only company that offered it submitted its consent in a foil that was not sealed.
