The residents of the beer villages of Gornja and Donja Brezna, who have been blocking the works of the Montenegrin Electric Transmission System (CGES) and the company "Krnovo green energy" for a month, claim that the aforementioned company is trying to break through the blockade and "intimidate citizens by threatening" them with calls from supposedly important people.

The representative of the company, Ivan Kadić, did not respond to the accusations of the locals yesterday, saying that he can answer all questions next week.

Locals demand that the companies that build the transmission lines repair the road that, they claim, was damaged during the construction of the works and fair compensation for the damaged property.

"Large trucks with sand sent by 'Krnovo green energy' are trying to break through the blockade, although we reached an agreement two days ago that they will asphalt the section of the road that they destroyed in the past three years during construction," said the president of the local council, Milonja Blagojević.

He states that the representative of "Krnovo Green Energy" told them that they will rehabilitate the section of the road and that they have already asked for bids from construction companies, and that they will allegedly claim that amount from those "who are to blame for the fact that the road has not been rehabilitated".

"One truck had a CGES label, the others were owned by a private individual from Nikšić, and all of them pretended to be crazy and, when we stopped them, allegedly called 'important people' and tried to intimidate us. It is unfortunate that the residents of a small village have to ensure respect for the law by powerful companies and their owners in this way," said Nikola Radojević.

Locals previously stated that CGES offered to allocate 12 for the rehabilitation of three kilometers of road, out of the destroyed 113.000, while "Krnovo green energy" asked for a study in order to get permission from the board of directors to pay 225.000 for the rehabilitation of the remaining part.
