SNP proposed changes to the law on citizenship and identity card

The Socialist People's Party (SNP) submitted to the Working Group for Building Confidence in the Electoral Process proposals for changes to the laws on citizenship and identity cards, which represent, as they announced, the continuity of the party's initiatives and efforts to change unfair solutions in those acts. The SNP, as MP Snežana Jonica reminded, previously submitted the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Residence and Residency Registers. "The proposals of the SNP represent the continuity of our party's initiatives and efforts to change unfair solutions in the aforementioned laws," Jonica said.

The SNP proposes to equalize the conditions related to years of marriage and years of residence in Montenegro, that is, to reduce the length of required legal and continuous residence from five to three years.
