The largest glacial spring in Europe below the high Prokletije, whose water boils in all directions under the Vizier's beard, was visited by rivers of people who point out that throughout the year in countries around the world they live only for this day.
Also this year, Alipaša's springs were the place of fairs - native meetings where thousands of natives and citizens of Montenegro gathered in the late afternoon and evening hours.
During yesterday's visit, he mostly met people from Gusin and Plavlja, as well as people from Rožaj, Bjelopolja and Beran who live and work in America, Canada, European and Scandinavian countries.
Many of them arranged their vacations so that on the day of the liberation of Gusinja they would be at the fair of this well-known spring. A few years ago, organized transports of tourists from the nearby cities of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Albania became more and more frequent.
The hot springs were named after the famous Ali Pasha Šabanagić from Gusinj, who was the last descendant of that family. The people of Gusinja say that Ali Pasha graduated from high military schools in Istanbul, and in the middle of the 19th century he became kajmakam of Gusinja, where he enjoyed great reputation and authority.
In order to somehow repay him, the people of Gusin named the hot springs after him. Vašari in this place have been made since ancient times, and since 2, August 1960 has been chosen as the day of the liberation of Gusinje, which gives it even more charm.
Among the many gathered at the springs was Mikica Kolenović, who came from Australia with her family.
"I haven't been to my hometown for a long time. Certainly when I had the opportunity that I didn't have because of work, I would have planned my vacation to spend this day in Gusinja, on the day when, after many years, I will again see my school friends who also live in Gusinja to New York".
Kolenović points out that starting this year, he will be in his hometown every time on this day.
"I cannot describe to you my pleasure, but also the pleasure of my relatives who are with me today. We are all excited, because every moment we are waiting for whom we will see at the springs after many years, sit down to say goodbye, drink coffee, play a round," she said.
Mirna Savić from Croatia was at the fair for the first time.
"The atmosphere is really wonderful, because these people are also pleasant. No one asks you who you are or what you are, and everyone equally enjoys, sings and dances. I don't have anyone in Gusinje, but we heard about this place and the gatherings that are starting on the Internet. from five in the afternoon, and which last until five in the morning, and I hope it will be the same this year," said Savić.
Director of the Local Tourist Organization Plava Huso Brdakić said that TO was satisfied with the visit and that the season will last until August 15.
"We can state with pleasure that the visit was good, because over 31 tourists visited Gusinje on July 20.000 and the first two days of August. Gusinje has incredible potential, and I believe that we will valorize it in the right way," said Brdakić.
After the river of natives and tourists left the source towards the center of Gusinje at around 21 p.m., the concert in the city center began with the star of the evening, Šak Polumento.
The sponsors of the concert were the Municipality of Plav and the "Gusinje" Foundation from New York. The concert with fireworks from the building of the Municipal Health Center Gusinje lasted a little over one hour after midnight, while many young people had cafes and discos at their disposal until early morning.
