After the wild stalls and kiosks on the waterfront, illegal travel agencies on the promenades, scooter vendors, it was the masseurs' turn.
In order to guarantee complete safety in each of the segments of the tourist offer, the headquarters for monitoring the tourist season of the Administration for Inspection Affairs, based in Budva, carried out a major action last week in which the inspectors removed dozens of massage tables from the Budva swimming pools and permanently banned the provision of such services.
Of debatable education, years ago, on almost every beach in Budva, massage was one of the offers. With affordable prices, from five to ten euros, many times less than what is offered in spa centers and beauty salons, which, of course, regularly pay taxes to the state, masseuses, mostly from the region, came to Budva every summer to take small money, and in turn endangering the safety of bathers.
Namely, there was no beach in Budva that did not have a canopy, under which a self-proclaimed masseur provided services.
The fact that the provision of such services on the beaches is very dangerous for health, because bathers who come for a massage while peeing can have health problems, since hot oil is poured on their cold bodies, and everything is performed at a high temperature with inadequate hygienic conditions, were enough reasons for the headquarters of the Administration for Inspection Affairs to start suppressing this phenomenon, which for years has been one of the "greater" tourist offers.
Years ago, people of debatable education, on almost every beach in Budva, offered massage services at very affordable prices, many times less than what is offered in spa centers.
Zoran Magdalinić, Assistant Director of the Pole Inspection Authority, confirmed to "News" that the massage tables on the beaches in Budva have been removed.
And that the jobs of masseurs are still current, is evidenced by numerous advertisements on portals, both domestic and regional, where physiotherapists offer to do these jobs on the Montenegrin coast.
One of these is the offer of a guy from Serbia, who states that he is ready to work in Montenegro, because he is a physiotherapist by profession.
"In Herceg Novi and Igalo, there are people who massage on the beaches illegally, and now, I assume that there is little control there, because the municipal police are hardly seen, but I don't know if they have some kind of agreement with the tenants of the beach or not. I was in Budva and Sveti Stefan, I didn't notice that it was being done illegally, but I saw some people massaging on a massage table and under a tent, but not on the beach, but next to the beach, and I think they are doing it legally, which means that the tenants of the beach would certainly not let me work there. By the way, there are a lot of Communal Police in Budva", it is stated on the forum of one of the Montenegrin portals.
That the actions, not only in this, but also in other sectors of activity, will be intensively continued, they say from the Headquarters, whose inspectors are in the field every day.
