The organizers of the "MAPSS Political Science Forum", members of the Montenegrin Association of Political Science Students (MAPSS), were forced to look for new premises for organizing the Forum because their home faculty did not want to give them the premises, "Vijesti" learns.
Thus, instead of in the FPN amphitheater, students, panelists and all Forum participants discussed political processes and changes in the premises of the Atlas Foundation.
The conference, which began on Tuesday, was organized by MAPSS, together with the Faculty of Political Sciences and in cooperation with universities in the region, state institutions, embassies, actors of the civil sector and media in Montenegro. The goal of this conference is to improve the status of political science as an academic discipline in Montenegro, as key to democracy, security, fairness and social consensus.
According to the organizers, the idea was that the implementation of the project should cover a period of five days, during which each day a thematic unit would be worked out individually, which was theoretically and practically worked out within the study programs at the University.
Among the panelists were, among others, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation Alberto Cammarata, State Secretary for European Integration and Chief Negotiator with the EU Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, Professor at the "Luiss Guido Carli" Faculty and DF leader Miodrag Lekić, as well as some of the most prominent journalists in our to the state.
The dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Sonja Tomović-Šundić, gave a vague statement yesterday: "The organizers decided on the venue themselves, and the location is secondary." Next year, the Faculty will continue to organize the Forum with MAPSS as one of its important activities".
