The donations announced at the pompous and glamorous event organized by the "Murano Montenegro" organizers, which took place in the middle of last year, have not yet been paid to those to whom they are intended.
The fashion show was organized on June 2nd, and although the organizer "Murano Montenegro" boasted that 12 thousand euros had been collected, the administrations of the public institutions "Komanski Most" and the Resource Center for Children and Youth Podgorica remained empty-handed.
It was planned that 7.000 euros would be given to "Komanski Most" for sensory rooms, while the rest was intended for the Resource Center for Excursions of Graduates.
When asked why it was then announced that this amount of money had been collected, Milačić replied that she trusted the donors to honor the agreement
The information that the donors' money did not end up in their accounts was confirmed by both institutions.
Director of "Komanski Most" Veselj Dušaj said that the money collected at the donor event was not paid to that institution.
"We contacted the organizer, Ms. Olivera Milačić, several times, from whom we received answers that the donors did not fulfill their obligations, that is, that they did not pay the promised funds. For those reasons, we showed understanding and patience, so we did not take any other steps in relation to those funds", Dušaj said.
The same was confirmed by the director of the Resource Center, Zoran Bošković, who said that the idea to collect money for the residents' excursions came from the organizers.
Milačić said that it is unbelievable that no one finds it necessary to help and pay even a symbolic sum of money
"At the end of the donor evening, in front of high-ranking dignitaries, ambassadors, directors of numerous companies, the representative of "Murano Montenegro" thanked the donors and announced that funds in the amount of 12.000 euros had been collected.
The same information was announced by the media and published the next day in the media," Bošković said.
He added that there were two payments to the account of the institution for excursions of high school graduates, the Lottery of Montenegro and the company Jack Pot, of 500 euros each, while there were no transactions from the organizer's account.
"I contacted the organizer a couple of times by phone, I was told that as the donors pay the funds, they will be forwarded to the institution's account, and the second reason for the delay in payment is that the funds were spent for the organization of the donor evening," Bošković said.
The organizer of the event, Olivera Milačić, said that the reason for the non-payment of money is the poor response of donors: "At the donor dinner and after it, we encountered a disappointing response from donors, and that they are still in the phase of collecting money.
At the donor dinner itself on June 2 last year, 200 "donors" gathered in Roman Square, of whom donated, i.e. paid the donor ticket (50 euros), only nine of them. Therefore, we barely managed to pay for the organization of the donor evening itself".

Atlas Group and Mercedes are mentioned as donors who allegedly promised help, and Milačić said that so far there have been no concrete moves from their side.
"This does not mean, bearing in mind the crisis, that they will not do it in the coming period, which would be of great help to us in order to finally pay the money to "Komanski Most" and part of it to the Resource Center for Children and Youth. However, there are many more who made promises, but nothing came of it," she said.
Milačić said that it is unbelievable that no one finds it necessary to help and pay even a symbolic sum of money.
"As we promised that the project would be completed by February of this year, so now, bearing in mind this situation, we must find a model to fulfill the promise.
On this occasion, I invite all people of good will to help Komanski Most and the Resource Center, and in the end, if this does not happen, a part of the funds will have to be provided by the organizer itself, i.e. people who participated in the whole project together with me", she said.
Milačić said that the largest donation, thanks to the Capital City and Mayor Miomir Mugoš, was realized, and that it was an apartment for two boys from the "Mladost" home in Bijela.
Donors: We're not sure it was well-intentioned
"If someone had made a promise, it would certainly have been paid by now"
From the Mercedes representative office in Montenegro, "Ljetopis automotive", they said that they did not promise any donation at the event.
"No one from our company was at the donor conference "Murano Montenegro", so they could not even promise a donation.
If someone made a promise, it would certainly have been paid by now.
If "Komanski Most" had approached us directly, we would certainly have helped because it is an institution that always needs help, but we avoid getting involved in such donations through intermediaries and various organizations, because we are not sure that they are always benevolent," Borislav Mijović said. , director of the representative office.
A similar answer was received by "Vijesta" from Atlas Group: "Atlas Group did not participate in the donor event, nor did it commit itself to donating on that occasion."
Further in the letter, they state that Atlas Banka was contacted in May by a representative of the company "Murano Montenegro" with an offer to participate in the donor dinner they are organizing.
"Since, despite our request, we did not receive complete information about the event, we could not adequately assess what would be expected from the Atlas Group and thus respond positively to the submitted offer," reads the letter from Atlas Bank.
They announced that they will continue to be one of the most active donors in Montenegro, and in that context that they will be honored to help the work of the "Koman Bridge" and the Resource Center.
"But we repeat, we cannot allow anyone to refer to us unverified, precisely in order to preserve the noble goal of institutions that need the help of the social community," said the Atlas Group.
Mugoša opened the evening, and then decided to keep quiet
At the beginning of June, the glamorous evening, which was attended by well-known names from show business, was opened by the first man of the Capital City, who was also the co-organizer of the event.
The Capital City did not respond to the letter from "Vijesti" about whether they were aware of the fact that they had helped the organization of the donor event, but the money had still not been paid.
In addition to Croatian presenter Nikolina Pišek, who hosted the program, the donor evening was "enriched" by fashion designer Marko Mitanovski, singer Aleksandra Kovač and Montenegrin actor Slavko Kalezić.
Famous dignitaries attended the donor evening, including members of the embassies of the United States of America and the United Arab Emirates, and the price of the ticket to the fashion show was 50 euros.
