The state award "Oktoih" for 2012 will be presented to the "Mirko Vešović" Secondary School of Economics from Podgorica.
The five-member jury received proposals for 10 individuals and four institutions, and yesterday such a decision was made by the president Pavle Goranović, professor Marko Camaj, Svetislav Bakić, Milica Pajović and Borislav Kašćelan.

The "Oktoih" award, as the highest award for contribution to the improvement of educational work, loyalty and commitment to the teaching profession, was established in 1970 and is awarded in accordance with Article 14 of the Law on State Awards ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Montenegro", number 38/07).
"Oktoih" is awarded every year to individuals and institutions in the field of education (preschool, primary, secondary and higher, as well as pupil and student standards) for exceptional results in education and upbringing", the Ministry of Education announced.
On January 17, 2013, the Minister of Education, Slavoljub Stijepović, will ceremoniously present plaques, diplomas and a monetary award to the winner.
