Svetozar Domazetović, adviser to the president of the Municipality of Danilovgrad, Branislav Đuranović, according to the information obtained by "Vijesti", played a key role in the dismissal of the director of the Danilovgrad Center for Culture, Ranko Vuković.
The meeting of the Council of the Center was held on November 29 in the small hall of the Danilovgrad Municipality, and Domazetović, according to the "Vijesti" interlocutor, left the meeting several times and "went to Đuranović's office for consultations".
In addition to Domozetović, two members of the Council, Žarko Mališić, president of the Danilovgrad branch of Matica Montenegrin, and Nada Bogićević, a member of the DPS, voted for Vuković's dismissal. Biserka Pavlović, representative of employees from the Center, was against it, while the fifth member, Nikola Antović, abstained.
There has been speculation for more than a year about the dismissal of Vuković, who is one of the few local officials who publicly and harshly criticized Đuranović and opposed him.
"After the submitted report of the competition committee and an exhaustive discussion, it was concluded that none of the candidates meets the conditions of the competition, so a decision was made to announce a new competition for the selection of directors. The Council was obliged to pass the Decision on the dismissal of Director Ranko Vuković, which was approved by the majority of the members, and the Decision on the appointment of Acting Dejan Vuković, a graduate lawyer employed at the Secretariat for General Administration and Social Activities, which was accepted unanimously," the announcement reads. .
According to the statement, the Council, among other things, considered the information about the damages that occurred during the last rains due to the carelessness of the employees, untimely response and irregular maintenance of the building of the Cultural Center.
Branislav Đuranović
The dismissal of Vuković, who is one of the few local officials who publicly and harshly criticized Đuranović and opposed him, has been speculated for more than a year. However, even close associates of Đuranović claimed that the mayor would not have the courage to "hit" his until recently closest associate.
Different views of the opposition on the dismissal of Vuković
Vuković announced that at the beginning of next week, he will inform the public of his position on the Council's decision. The views of the Danilovgrad opposition on Vuković's dismissal are different.
The SNP said that their position is to comment on such a decision when they have relevant information about it
"We expected this, because the rulers of Danilovgrad see an example at the state level, so they also want to remove anyone who bothers them. "I don't interfere in their problems, but the worst thing is that the citizens suffer and suffer," said Đurović.
"The new Serbian democracy, as before, does not interfere and is not interested in the intra-party affairs of other actors on the political scene of Danilovgrad," said Velimir Đoković, president of OO Nova.
"Regarding the criteria for the appointment of Acting Director Dejan Vuković, the most important thing is for the Board of Directors to deal with it. During the formation of this and such a committee, Nova invited the members in an open letter to work in a professional manner, and that their one-party composition additionally obliges them to work exclusively in the interest of the city council. "Both sides will have to explain whether the dismissal of Vuković is a product of disagreements within the DPS or a conflict of conceptions in the view of the development of the culture of Danilovgrad," Đoković said.

Removed until recently the closest associate
Until recently, Vuković was the political guru of the Danilovgrad DPS, he was even the head of that party's committee club for several years, and it was unthinkable that Đuranović would do anything without consulting him. Despite this, last year the Secretariat for Finance transferred only 14.000 euros to the Center out of 856 euros, which was foreseen in the Municipal budget for program activities.
Vuković several times accused the local administration of a stepmotherly attitude towards the institution it leads and invited them to a dialogue, which they did not accept. He has assessed several times that the concept of the Municipality's culture is "populist from Đilko" and called on them to initiate the process of his removal if it does not suit them.
The dismissal of Ranko Vuković is just a continuation of the confrontation between the factions in the Danilovgrad DPS. A few months ago, "Vijesti" wrote about the problems in that party, which, as members of the OO DPS said at the time, had been simmering for more than a year.
"Vijesti" was then told that those who are bothered by the fact that the Municipal and Executive Boards are tailored according to the wishes of the municipal president, whose main criteria for selecting members was loyalty and obedience to him, are increasingly being recognized. They then said that Vuković, the director of the Health Center Zorica Beba Kovačević, who is no longer on the Executive Board, prominent member Dragan Mitov Đurović and councilor Miladin Radulović were eliminated from the local leadership.
