Students of the Faculty of Fine Arts (FLU) whose works were destroyed during the June fire in the building of the former Russian embassy, received financial assistance from the local authorities in Cetinje.
Mayor Aleksandar Bogdanović presented aid to 22 students in the amount of 18 euros, and the money was distributed in cooperation with the Faculty of Fine Arts.
"The aid, which we are awarding in accordance with the decision of the Commission for the coordination of activities on the rehabilitation of the former Russian embassy, is a form of support, but also motivation ahead of the upcoming academic year.
For us, it is very important that the Faculty of Fine Arts will operate entirely in Cetinje.
Mayor Bogdanović presented aid to 22 students in the amount of 18 thousand euros, and the money was distributed in cooperation with FLU
This is an opportunity to send you my sincere desire to continue your successful work, but also to emphasize that you can always count on the Capital of Cetinje," said Mayor Bogdanović in his address to the students.
He also reminded that the city administration, along with financial aid to students, also invested 32 thousand euros in the adaptation of the premises of 'Telekom' in Cetinje - where two departments of FLU will temporarily operate.
On behalf of FLU, dean Nenad Šoškić thanked the city, who said that the event was a kind of incentive for both students and them.
"It is very good that everything is happening before the beginning of the new academic year, considering that the students will, in a certain way, have the opportunity to invest in the material necessary for work," said Šoškić.
