The Environmental Protection Agency will organize educational workshops in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools on the occasion of September 16, the International Day for the Protection of the Ozone Layer.
As it was announced in the run-up to the 21st anniversary of the declaration of Montenegro as an ecological state, workshops will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the district department of the Elementary School "Gornja Zeta" in Botun, while children from the kindergarten will hear more about the ozone layer on Thursday at 9 a.m. Children's joy" in Tuzi.
It is planned that on September 21st, an environmental lesson will be held at the Vocational High School in Nikšić starting at 10 am.
"Celebrating the Ozone Layer Protection Day aims to promote environmental protection, raise awareness and educate the youngest population about the importance and necessity of protecting the ozone layer, as well as the most common forms of its destruction," the Agency announced.
In 1994, the UN General Assembly declared September 16 the International Day for the Protection of the Ozone Layer. This year, September 16 is celebrated worldwide under the motto: "Protect our atmosphere for generations to come".
