As part of joint cooperation, the Special Police Unit (PJP) and the security service of the Embassy of the United States of America (USA) conducted a tactical demonstration exercise simulating an attack on the US Embassy facility in Podgorica, the Police Directorate announced.
The statement added that the goal of the exercise was to check all factors responsible for the security of the US Embassy during crisis situations.
"Through this exercise, which was successfully carried out, the Montenegrin police and the security service of the US Embassy demonstrated their coordination and readiness to successfully respond to the challenges that were set, as an exercise premise. During the exercise, the PJP tactical teams, with a quick reaction and in coordination with the crisis headquarters, successfully neutralized the persons who carried out the simulated attack and after that they established the necessary conditions for eliminating further threats and attacks", said the Police Administration.
After the tactical exercise, an analysis of the behavior of all exercise participants was performed.
"In addition to the officers of the PJP, Security Center Podgorica and several other organizational units of the police and MUP, which are normally involved in responding to crisis situations, representatives of other services also participated in the tactical demonstration exercise, among which there were also officers of the Institute on the ground. for emergency medical assistance, the Emergency Center and the Protection Service of the Capital City", concludes the statement of the Police Administration.
