Primary school children observed birds on Tivat's Solili

On the occasion of the World Day of Migratory Birds, the Center for the Protection and Study of Birds from Podgorica, the Secretariat for Environmental Protection and the Green Team of the Municipality of Tivat organized a special ecological event for the youngest at Solili in Tivat yesterday.

On this occasion, Solil was visited by members of the ecological sections of Elementary School "Drago Milović" from Tivat and Elementary School "Branko Brinić" from Radovići, who were able to familiarize themselves with part of the wealth of flora and fauna that characterize this protected nature reserve in the Tivat Bay and observe numerous species on the spot. birds in their natural habitat.

Pointing out that as many as 111 species of birds are present on Solila, some of which can rarely be found anywhere else in Montenegro except here, Marija Stanišić from the Center for the Protection and Study of Birds, also emphasized that Solila is an extremely important habitat for numerous halophyte plant species. , especially adapted to life in salt marshes.

Yesterday, she and her colleague from CZIP Aleksandar Perović introduced the students of Tivat elementary schools to the action "Spring alive" implemented by CZIP, which implies that children register their observations via a special internet site when and where they saw one of the spring for the first time species of migratory birds in Montenegro.
