The 27th International Bishops' Conference ended in Bar

Current issues of the Catholic Church in the countries of the region - Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro, as well as the program for the celebration of the Year of Faith and the World Meeting of Families that will be held in May in Milan, were the main topics of the regular 27th session of the International Bishops' Conference (IBC) of St. . Cyril and Methodius, which has just ended in the premises of the Archbishop's Ordinariate in Bar.

The session was presided over by Monsignor Zef Gaši, Archbishop of Bar and president of the MBK, with the participation of Monsignor Stanislav Hočevar, Archbishop of Belgrade and vice-president of the MBK, Bishop of Zrenjanin and General Secretary of the MBK, Monsignor Ladislav Nemet, Bishop of Kotor, Monsignor Ilija Janjić, Exarch for Greek Catholics in Serbia and Montenegro, Monsignor Đur Džudžar and the Bishop of Srem, Monsignor Đur Gašparović.

Monsignor Lucian Augustini attended the session as a delegate of the Bishops' Conference of Albania.

The introduction to the session was the evening solemn Holy Mass in the cathedral in Gretvo on the feast of St. Josip, which was led by the Apostolic Nuncio for Montenegro, Archbishop Alessandro D'Errico, and which was concelebrated by bishops and members of the MBK with the presence of numerous priests of the Archdiocese of Bar.

At the beginning of the solemn Holy Mass, the host Archbishop of Bar, Monsignor Zef Gashi, greeted all those present, especially the venerable Apostolic Nuncio and bishop members of the MBK.

In his sermon, the Apostolic Nuncio particularly touched upon the importance of St. Joseph for the Church and what the example of St. Joseph can tell us concretely today. Joseph.

In the first line, pointed out Archbishop D'Errico, St. Josip is a just man who trusts in the Lord, he is humble but also responsible. The apostolic nuncio wished successful work to the bishops of MBK, while congratulating the host, the archbishop of Bar, Monsignor Zef Gashi, on their name day.
