The life of Divna Vujisić (87) located in 10 squares

Divna Vujisić (87) lives in the suburban settlement of Pažanj in a dilapidated shack with windows that have blankets and cardboard instead of glass.

She has been single since her husband died, and she has no children.

As he says, everything he has is placed in barely ten square meters. But in that space, the most noticeable lack of care is for the old woman, who, as she says, can barely walk a few meters to the stove to light a fire.

It is difficult to talk and mostly about some ancient times when, as he says, it was not forgotten like it is now.

This is evidenced by the acknowledgments on the dilapidated chipboard walls. On the "cheque" he shows us, there is the amount of 86 euros "material compensation for fighters". She says it's enough for her food.

"I can eat and drink. I also have electricity. It's hard for me that my wood is buried in snow. I'm lonely, my TV and radio broke because of the humidity. I can't even read anymore," grandmother Divna barely manages to tell us.

Geronto housewives were the only help

Until December of last year, six geronto housewives took care of her and about 30 other old people in the area of ​​the Kolasin municipality, who have no one.

According to Barjušković, for now it is uncertain whether and how the project, which will re-engage geronto housewives, will be continued

Some of the women who implemented that project continued to visit the people they had cared for before, even during the storm.

One of them, she does not want her name to be mentioned, during January and February, she also came to Divna twice a week.

"I'm uncomfortable glorifying what I do. You saw the conditions in which that woman lives, there are many others like that, and I think the project should continue. But for now, no one can tell us if it will be like that. In any case all the people we cared about can't do it alone and without that kind of help," she said.

According to her, during the storm, Grandma Divna received help from the Center for Social Work, and food was brought to her for 30 euros.

Uncertain continuation of the project

According to the President of the Municipality, Darko Barjušković, it is currently uncertain whether and how the project, which will re-engage geronto housewives, will be continued.

"Only part of that project was financed by the Municipality, and as far as I know, this break in work is not only a case of Kolašin, but it is in the territory of the whole country. It is clear to me that these people are in a very difficult situation, but that project does not depend only on us, but also on of the Employment Office," said Brajušković.

Ranko Šćepanović, an advisor in the Kolašin office of the Employment Agency, confirmed that the project stopped in December 2011, but he could not say whether it would be continued in the following period or how the care of old helpless people would be continued.
