The Tourism Organization of the Capital City, as part of the RiTouR project of cross-border cooperation, on Friday, May 11, organized the ceremonial handing over of certificates to tourist guides specialized in the territory of Podgorica, according to the announcement of TO Podgorica.
As they state, in front of TO Podgorica, the certificates were handed over by the director, Tatjana Popović, who congratulated all the tour guides and expressed satisfaction at the huge interest in this training.
"We hope that through this type of personnel education, by specializing tourist guides for the area of the Capital City, which we have not had until now, we will additionally contribute to raising the quality of service provision in Podgorica, and ultimately to attracting as many tourists as possible to visit our city", she concluded. Popovic.
It was announced that in front of the Faculty of Business and Tourism in Budva, prof. Dr. Rade Ratković praised the good initiative of the Tourism Organization of Podgorica and pointed out that this is the first time that this type of specialization has been organized in Montenegro, and called on other municipalities to follow the example of the Capital City.
"We are pleased that we were given the opportunity to, as leaders in this business, participate in the project of the Tourist Organization of Podgorica. The teaching was interactive, the practical work was excellent, so we are more than satisfied with the results of the training", concluded prof. Dr. Rade Ratković.
The specialization was successfully completed by 40 licensed tourist guides, followed by the creation of two standardized routes for visiting the urban core and the city's surroundings, as well as a database of guides, and all this information will be easily accessible to all tourists staying in Podgorica, the announcement concluded. .
