Democrats: Tsarević does not understand the responsibilities of high office holders

The commemoration of one hundred years of the liberation of Budva from Austria-Hungary deserves to be celebrated, but in a dignified and appropriate way, without disrupting the multinational harmony that Budva has cultivated for centuries and without anyone's monopoly over that date, said the Budva Democrats committee.

They turned to Marko Carević, Milo Božović and Marko Kentera, who, as they believe in the Democrats in Budva, are continuously working on the collapse and unsuccessful attempts to compromise the Budva government, to which they themselves belong. As they said, they have more than correct and good cooperation with 98 percent of the members of the Budva committee of the Democratic Front since the formation of the government in that city.

"It is our intention and clear position that in the coming period we will continue to work together to fulfill the goals we promised to the citizens who voted for us, as well as to those who were voted for by the parties in the opposition, and the citizens can already see the results of our joint efforts very well. No we want to look back on historical events and the very significance of marking 100 years of the liberation of Budva from Austria-Hungary, but we absolutely share and support, like the majority of our fellow citizens, the position and opinion of the President of the Municipality Dragan Krapović. A date of such importance for all of us deserves to be marked, but in a dignified and appropriate way, without disrupting the multinational harmony that Budva has been cultivating for centuries and, of course, without anyone's monopoly over that date. Because Marko Kentera does not claim more rights to it than any member of the Democrats and all other citizens of Budva," the committee points out Democrat in Budva.

Tsarević said yesterday that Krapović made "an unimaginable series of insults against the DF, the Committee for the 100th Anniversary of the Victory in World War I" and him personally.

They believe that Carevic does not know the responsibilities, rights and obligations of office bearers such as the President of the Assembly and the President of the Municipality.

"What we want to inform the public about are the facts related to the formation of the so-called Committee for the celebration of the centenary of the Great Victory. It is sad and devastating that someone who nominates himself to lead a municipality does not know the competences, rights and obligations of the holder of high positions, such as the president of the Assembly and the President of the Municipality. Mr. Carevic does not understand that the President of the Assembly can form whatever he wants in this world, but that body cannot undertake legal actions, nor can the actions it undertakes produce any legal effect. Advisory bodies, working groups, commissions, committees, etc. can only be formed by the President of the Municipality and the Municipal Assembly, not at all by the President of the Assembly," the Budva Democrats state.

If Tsarević thinks that, following this practice, he will lead the Municipality in the next two years and undertake such and similar "illegal actions, like some DPS municipal presidents", he can immediately forget that he will get the support of the Democrats for this, the board of that party announced. in Budva.

They remind that the position of the Democrats during the negotiations was that at any cost they would not agree to "deals and combinations with anyone whose intentions are the same as those who devastated Budva 13 years ago", even if they came from the ranks of the Democrats.
