The Ministry of Justice and the Chamber of Notaries have the task of removing the deficiencies that accompany the work of notaries and correcting individual legal solutions, so that citizens can have faster and cheaper notary services, which will create a safe business environment.
This is written in the information adopted by the Ministry of Justice at the Government session yesterday.
According to "Vijesti" information, a new decision with corrected prices for notary services should be adopted at the next session of the executive power.
The petitions submitted by citizens to this ministry were also considered, which mostly related to the high fees for services charged by notaries for certain legal affairs and objections to the long wait for the completion of the work.
It is added that at the meetings of the Ministry, which has a supervisory role, and the Chamber, the problems of the work of the notary service in municipalities where offices have not yet been opened, as well as the problem of non-uniform application of the tariff, were presented.
"Also, petitions submitted by citizens to this ministry were considered, which mostly related to the high fees for services charged by notaries for certain legal affairs and objections to the long wait for the completion of the work, which results in a delay in legal traffic, especially in areas with an increased volume of economic activity, such as Budva, Podgorica, Tivat and Kotor," the document states.
The chronology of fulfilled obligations in the first two months of the notary service's work was also given, as well as that due to citizens' complaints about notary service prices, meetings were held with the chamber and the Ministry of Finance, which previously did not give the green light for such exorbitant tariffs.
"At that meeting, it was deemed necessary to correct the tariff and to form a working group made up of representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Finance and the Chamber, whose task would be to once again review the solutions from the tariff and to correct the fees for certain legal affairs for which have proven to be too high in practice, all with the aim of adjusting the amount of compensation to the social standard," the text says.

Over 5.000 certifications in six days
According to the Chamber's report, from July 25 to August 1, a total of 2.295 cases, notarial entries and records were registered. In Podgorica 554, Danilovgrad 47, Nikšić 185, Bijelo Polje 11, Berane 118, Rožaj 59, Cetinje 44, Herceg Novi 249, Kotor 260, Tivat 98, Budva 213, Bar 225 and Ulcinj 129 cases.
"For the same period, 5.249 cases related to notarizations and certificates were registered," the text reads.
