The National Park of Montenegro explained that the global trend in the field of environment, especially when it comes to national parks, is that in addition to the protection and popularization of natural wealth, they have an increasingly educational role.
"In addition to direct programs for the protection and management of natural and cultural assets, national parks are turning to the creation of educational programs, which include interaction with visitors in the form of lectures, workshops and organized stays in nature.
In this way, they influence the environmental education of children and adults, raise public awareness of environmental issues, preserve natural wealth, encourage stay in natural areas and have the role of animation for tourists," the announcement states.
Educational trails represent limited spaces where furniture is placed that interprets the natural and cultural values of the space and encourages visitors to actively engage in the processes of protection, preservation and understanding of nature.
