Asphalting of three kilometers from Fundina to the main road to Kuči has not yet started, although it was announced for January this year.
The member of the organizing committee for the reconstruction of the road, Pero Lucaj, said that everything is ready for asphalting, but that the reaction of the Capital City, i.e. the city company "Roads", is awaited.
Lucaj said that at the end of last year the members of the board met with the mayor Slavoljub Stijepović to discuss the asphalting of the remaining three kilometers of road. Then Stijepović told them that the works will start in January this year.
However, the locals are still waiting for the asphalt.
"Indeed, the weather conditions were not favorable for asphalting, but we expect that the authorities will start the work soon, and that the road will be asphalted by summer," said Lucaj.
The road from Fundina to Zatriepč, 24 kilometers long, was widened at the initiative of the diaspora, with the help of the Army of Montenegro and the capital city, from the original three to six, to eight meters wide.
Only in the section from Zatriepč to Fundina, which is 12 kilometers long, the diaspora invested one million euros, while the capital also invested the same amount.
The main initiator of the road reconstruction was Kolja Cacaj, who a few years ago widened about four kilometers of the road in the central part of Zatrijepč.
For local residents, the expansion of the road is of great importance because it connects 19 villages and 180 households, and until recently it was in extremely bad condition.
