While his peers are just learning discipline, preparing for responsibilities and slightly nervously awaiting the first days of school, Lazar Popović is ready to start regular and music school.
"From September, he will go to the regular school, as well as to the music school "Vasa Pavić". We talked with him about the sections and instructed him to choose something of quality to do. At first he wanted to play the guitar, but he decided on the piano. From the age of five, he has been taking private lessons with professor Jerina Sekulić," says his mother Sanja.
Professor Jerina Sekulić said that she got along well with Lazar from the first day and that she was pleasantly surprised by his concentration, because he was only five years old at the time.
"We had 45 minutes of active work and taking into account his age, he made great progress in one year," explains Sekulić.
Just meeting this boy was endearing and unusual. When the teacher asked him to sing something for her, she expected, as children usually do, some nursery rhyme, but Lazar sang a song by Zdravko Čolić and immediately won her sympathy.
"Yellow House" plays most often
At first they learned the notes and then they started playing, and according to the professor, he mastered it without any problems. The song he likes to play the most is "Yellow House", and he would like to learn to play the accordion and the guitar as well.
"It's not hard for me to exercise, I do it myself for up to an hour a day. In addition, I like to play soccer and stack blocks," said Lazar, who practices the keyboard at home and plays the piano in lessons.
Lazar's mother claims that she does not know from whom he inherited his talent for playing
Sekulić says that at first he practiced children's songs and that he had illustrations next to the lyrics in order to better remember the notes, but now he is going to switch to just playing by the notes.
Lazarev's mother claims that she doesn't know from whom he inherited his talent for playing, because no one in their family did it.
"I believe that children should be guided and guided on the right path from an early age. It is important that they find an occupation that will enrich them, help them develop and spend their time productively. That way they will become quality people and be in a quality society," she said. Dreaming.
Chola as a role model
When asked what he would like to become when he grows up, we got the expected answer from Lazar.
"Well, I would like to become a musician," he is determined.
And if there is someone from our area who can be considered a role model, it would be Čolić.
"I really like Zdravko Čolić and I like his songs," he said.
As his mother said, the further goal they will strive to achieve is only progress and the best possible results of the talented Lazar.
