The policy of the Montenegrin Government undermines the status of Kotor as a World Cultural Heritage city, on the UNESCO list of protected areas, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) said. The Kotor SDP said that the new legislative framework in relation to spatial planning and construction opens up space for the devastation of the Boka area. "An obvious example of devastation is happening these days, at the fishing post in Dobrota, at the location of Kamp, where an investor is vandalizing the coast with construction material in order to build a beach where there was never one," the statement said. They stated that it was an attack on the natural and cultural-historical landscape under the protection of UNESCO, with the patronage of the Government of Montenegro. "We strongly condemn this act of vandalism and call on the competent institutions to start doing their work," the announcement of the Kotor SDP states.
