More than a hundred residents of Pavino Polje and surrounding villages protested in front of the elementary school "Milovan Jelić" categorically not to allow the director Novak Novaković to perform that function.
Locals are outraged by last week's suicide of fourteen-year-old ML and hold Novaković responsible for the boy's suicide.
It was announced at the meeting that the children will not be allowed to attend classes unless director Novaković and Serbian language teacher Janko Delić are removed from the school.
Member of the parents' council, Vojka Kljajević, said that director Novaković acted arbitrarily and did not respect the suggestions that came from the council.
The boy shot himself with a semi-automatic rifle after returning from school because, according to locals, he was being harassed by Novakovic and Delic because of the broken glass on the cabinet in the biology cabinet.
Mayor Aleksandar Žurić and educational inspector Miomir Anđić visited the school in Pavino Polje and talked with the locals.
"Once the complete inspection is completed, I will draw up a report and take measures in accordance with the law. For now, the MUP is also conducting surveillance and that is ongoing," said Andjić.
Milivoje Gajević: Better not to be a greater evil
Milivoje Gajević, one of the older residents of Pavina Polje, announced that they should find another job for the director, if the ministry thinks for the good of both the director and the family to whom the tragedy happened.
"Let them not send him among these people. In order to get to work, he passes under the window of the parents of an unfortunate child. Can anyone look at this indifferently, let everyone put themselves in the position of the parents, and let them condemn it. And among us citizens, there is a demand that less bad things happen and in order to prevent it from getting worse, he should change his workplace if he deserves it, Gajević said.

"We do not condemn him in advance, that will be done by the authorities. Because of his bad behavior, people cannot stand him. Here he felt and behaved like a "pasha" appointed so that no one could do anything to him".
Miro Leković, uncle of the injured boy, said that he felt a moral and every other need to be with his fellow citizens who spontaneously gathered.
"That man we are talking about and for whom we gathered was reported to the SUP many times and caused a lot of misery to some people in the collective and outside it". "Many reports have been written in his name, many remarks by citizens and many things that make him a man who does not deserve to be at the head of such a school and institution," said Leković.
Žurić: Let's also talk about the moral aspect
Mayor Žurić invited the parents to talk to him about everything and promised that he would personally invite the Minister of Education and Science, Slavoljub Stijepović.
"Our job is not to conduct an investigation or to make decisions on this issue, but to sit down and make a humane agreement, regardless of what the legal norms dictate, to discuss the moral aspect and possibly about some things that you have to comment on with me ", said Zuric.
After a long conversation with the locals, Žurić promised that he would talk to several of their representatives in the presence of the president of the Pavino Polje Local Municipality, Slobo Leković, in order to take an official position that will be presented at the citizens' assembly.
